Introducing the "Content Mill" Series

I decided to take some time and focus on the ins and out of writing for content mills. Content mills are online web content providers where writers log in and choose topics to write about. The pay ranges from okay to terrible and the writing often resembles the same. Lets just say that you get what you pay for, and most writers are only willing to put in a certain amount of effort for the amount of pay that they receive from each article.

I make my living writing by writing for these online websites, and I plan on giving readers a bit of advice on how to make the best out of working for these sites.

Most writers view writing for these sites as a way to make ends meet or a way to start out in the writing world. The writer eventually move on to either private clients or a mix of private clients and content mills. I am trying to break through the barrier myself to the "private client" sector. I will continue to use the "content mills" as my bread and butter for as long as I need to. Why? Because honestly there is no real world job out there where I can make between 15-45 dollars an hour, doing something that I enjoy doing. If anyone knows of a real "job" that doesn't involve porn or selling your soul, I'd love to know about it. Otherwise, I will write my butt off for money - because I love writing and I can make a decent living at it.
